The self-assessments I found most relevant:
1. Below I have uploaded the results of the DISC Index, describing the 4 quadrants of behavior that highlight my behavioral preferences and style. Understanding the results of this assessment can help me maximize my potential as a manager and leader. Most successful people share the trait of self awareness. They also understand their limitations. This helps people to pursue the right opportunities, in the right way, at the right time, and get the results that they desire. The DISC-Decisive, Interactive, Stability, Cautious, describes these four dimensions of your behavioral style. The report uploaded below offers ideas for being more effective, staying more motivated, and offers strength based insights based on the DISC Index assessment. This assessment was helpful in determining my strengths and weakness that are outlined in this book.
2. Leadership skills assessment: Mindtools
This assessment analyzes your performance in specific areas of leadership. This assessment identifies where you lead effectively and identifies where your skills need further development. This assessment tool provides an analysis section that can direct you to resources that can help you become an exceptional leader. I scored an 8/10 in self confidence, which is something that I need in order to have the courage to go for my career goals. I also scored an 8/10 in positive attitude and outlook and emotional intelligence. I scored a 7/10 on transformational leadership, and 9/10 for motivation people to deliver the vision. My score was 8/10 for managing performance effectively, and 18/20 for providing support and stimulation. I found this assessment helpful to assess these skills because I am not currently in a management position so these skills can be hard to assess.
3.Character of Leadership Strength Assessment - This assessment identifies scores for 8 elements of leadership foundation. My strengths identified with this assessment include: Justice, Temperance, Wisdom, Love, and courage. My moderate strengths were identified as Faith and Hope. There were no major weaknesses identified out of these elements. I chose this assessment because I thought that it was interesting that I scored the lowest in faith and hope this was something that I want to spend some time looking into. I actually found these elements interesting in relation to leadership and will use this assessment to develop my leadership skills.
4. I used the assessment My Communications Skills Rating to assess my communication skills. The results of this assessment were that I am achieving more than the average person but that I am not optimizing my communication with others. My skill were determined to be extraordinarily positive. I will use this result to increase my communication with others. This offered me some insight and I would have to agree with the results and as a manager this is an area that it would benefit to over communicate rather than under communicate.
